Solidarity with the Greek people facing finance blackmail!
Along with other actions of solidarity with Greece, on the occasion of the referendum in Greece, Québec solidaire, the Solidarity Committee with the Greek People, Alternatives and the Montreal metropolitan Regional Labour Council (FTQ) are organizing this coming Saturday July 4th at 10:45am, a solidarity action in front of the Greek Consulate at 1002 Sherbrooke West in Montreal, corner McTavish, facing McGill University.

About 250 gathered in solidarity with the Greek population facing financial blackmail this Saturday morning in front of the Greek consulate in Montreal. The Greek referendum is tomorrow and rallies in support of the no vote have sprung up across the globe.

On the 1st of July for #CanadaDay 2015 about 75 anti-colonialist protesters gathered at Place Jacques-Carter to oppose Canada and Quebec’s theft of resources and the illegal occupation of land belonging to Indigenous nations.
So what can be done about this common nuisance? I would personally suggest that when a cop says "move or get a ticket and or get arrested" to someone "filming" them and if the person filming or taking pictures or even simply observing is not interfering with their work, the reply to said cop should be "do you want to do 2 years in jail?"
This video was never finished, it's also in French, a rarity for me but it's intended audience is the French rescue community, so the rough cut will have to do for now. I've delayed releasing this information since January of 2015, so here it goes. I may or may not finish this video due to time and budget restraints and the need to travel out of town to gather more intel.
Shots were heard early Wednesday morning at around 12:30 AM, Montreal police officers ran into a man at the corner of 12th and St-Louis streets in Lachine claiming he was shot in the leg. The police officer conducted an arrest as the man in question had a gun on him, and as we later find out he shot himself while running. http://rptn.net/GPU
