I’m tired of “Animal Rights Activists” that talk out the ass
Today I was told by an activist that a fur farm ban was in place in EU, Israel and some US states (such as California) – this conversation took place over the St-Jude fur farm, today the media reported the owner was charged with animal cruelty, ARA’s suggest that a global ban on “fur farming” is the only solution, sadly, while I may agree, it’s not a reality. I had to shit-can this activist with some facts…

First of all, there are no bans on fur farming in the USA. There is a ban on fur sales in West Hollywood, that’s a weak municipal by-law to ban fur sales such as Verdun’s ban on pet stores (that sell non-neutered pets), it fails to prevent sales.
The city’s ban, which went into effect last year, doesn’t illegally discriminate against retailers of new clothing by allowing sales of used fur by private parties and second-hand stores as well as sales of handbags and furniture with fur, U.S. District Judge George H. King in Los Angeles said in a ruling yesterday.
Secondly, despite some European countries banning fur farming.
The EU still accounts for 63% of the global fur farming market.
Thirdly, Israel has major opposition to it’s “proposed bill to ban fur trades”.
One faction the fur-ban activists did not reckon with, though, were the ultra-orthodox Hasidim Jews, notable for their distinctive clothing.
They objected to the all-out fur ban, saying it was going against their traditions, because they would be unable to wear the round furry hat, known as the shtreimel.
The bill had now been amended to include a “cultural exception” that will allow the Hasidim to keep wearing fur to preserve their traditions.
Now about the shtreimel,
The shtreimel is typically custom-made for the intended wearer, of genuine fur, from the tips of the tails typically of Canadian or Russian sable, stone marten, baum marten (Pine Marten), or American gray fox. The shtreimel is the most costly article of Hasidic clothing, ranging in price from US$1,000 to US$5,400.
Manufacturers of shtreimels can be found in New York City, Montreal, Bnei Brak, and Jerusalem. The shtreimel manufacturers (shtreimel machers in Yiddish) keep their trade a closely guarded secret.
Now let’s look at the numbers.
In 1992, out of a total of 1,500,000 Orthodox Jews world wide, about 550,000 were Haredi (half of them in Israel).
In 2012, according to Statistics Canada Canadian fur farms saw 8,540 fox and 2,971,200 mink born. Of that number, 8,120 foxes and 2,804,800 mink were killed and their pelts harvested.
So to all Animal Rights Activists out there, stop talking out the ass. I’ll upload a video later on today to show another example of ARA’s speaking out the ass. ARA’s are now sounding like the religious zealots, and can a ban on fur violate religious and cultural rights? HALAL meat is already a form of religious cruelty!
The animal rights movement or rescues is just a representation of our modern society. There are rescue groups ans activists I will personally kiss if I see them, for as they give their life for the cause. They do not bash or bla bla but help and give all they have to. Congrats!!
There is also a Qc bashing saying les anglophones adoptent les anglophones les …… on X au QC on est le pire bla bla bla.. I am sick of this. Yes we are behind yes we are outdated but further ahead than many US STATES or E.U COUNTRIES. Look at Romania!!
According to the PussyPatrol in Mile End we are the worst in the world. Really?? I ask them to go see Europe Latin America USA or even WESTER CANADA. In British Colombia, they have I believe 33 !! SPCAS for 390 cities FULL 25/7/365!! Sure no animal abuse in ONTARIO B.C USA right?? Yah sure!!!
Look at SPCAS. Instead of regrouping fund collection services they work apart. Imagine if we had a CENTRAIDE OR QSPCA which collected donations gifts supplies n distributed.
There are 2.5 million domestic animals in Qc. Please do not tell me we can’t raise 100$ million easily!!
Imagine 2.5million animal licenses at 80$
= 200$ million
1200 municipal obligations not contracts to fund services depending on size
Say 900 at 20 000$
200 at 250 000
100 at 500 000$
Total 118$ million
Fines for infractions 50$ million
Grand total 368$ million plus say 80$ million in donations
448$ million
Say we built 160 SPCAS at 10$ million each
Total 1.6 billion
5% per annum égale 80$ million intérêt
448$ million
– 80$ million interest
– 90million $ payment of debt
Balance left for rescues SPCAS
278$ million
Hummmmmm the solutions are simple not complicated but in animal groups ignorance
Prevails!!! No no private but let’s have got. Do got pounds do better or OSBL??
LAPRAIRIE THE EUTHANASIA RATE IS 80%
and SARS IS 60% depending on season. BOTH OSBL!!!@@ Mme Morin of Inspecteur Canin must salivate and Mme Vallee of GL!!!!
Some OSBL make the Berger Blanc look like a 5 star Hotel!!!!
Stop the Québec bashing start using words like murder and kill start pressuring govt. Call useless killings as they are killings!! CAACQ is right in one way.
Call killing by its words
KILL!!!!
She is pissing of 99% of SPCAs in Qc with her words n is being asked to shut up!!! Do they have something to hide???
We can’t save domestic pets and activists
Can’t n won’t work together. Can you imagine
Wild animals????
Rick you forgot POLAND ROMANIA where Hassic and other Jewish groups are making a comeback. However they must follow strict Polish Law that forbids animal sacrifice torture abandonment neglect.Even meat must be treated properly not slaughtered like here.
Congrats continue.
Ps look at Facebook it is so called rescues pretending to foster but they breed n sell the pups or kittens as rescued Ahhhhh haaaaa!!
